Here is an archive of older articles I wrote back in 2007 or so. I deleted these files from my own computer and from the old blog but some still survive via the Internet Wayback Machine and reposts on other sites.

I have grown a lot in my thinking and many of these historical articles lack discernment in the quality of evidence and sometimes make leaps that are unsupported. While my current project aims to tackle some of this same material, it will hopefully be less prone to logical leaps and unsupported speculation.

At times, I have done light editing to delete material that was specific to other matters on the old blog or to correct a broken link. However, they are mostly direct copies from what was written back then.

MKULTRA: Not Just for Paranoids Anymore

MKULTRA will figure in some future posts. I regret my main source was Colin Ross (see below) here, though his book is primarily a collection of FOIA documents. This is a very rough introduction to MKULTRA but if you know nothing about that program, it is a beginning place.

Colin Ross and Scientology

Ross, who wrote the MKULTRA book referenced above, was a major influence in early understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder. He also pushed various Satanic panic stories, and turned out to be in cahoots with Scientology.

Whitley Strieber and the Paradigm of Doom

Even 13 years after writing this piece, I still don’t know what to make of Strieber. But whatever YOU make of him, no one can deny that he helped shape the image of the “gray” aliens in the public mindset.

10,000 Heroes: SRI and the Manufacturing of the New Age

In the book, Changing Images of Man, the authors lay out an agenda to supplant Judaeo/Christian religion with a more inwardly focused, Freemason-inspired spirituality. Was it about social control or just an attempted power grab by Scientology sorts?

Redirecting Enthusiasm: A CIA Primer on Information Control

An instructive look at how a clever con man can derail plans someone doesn’t like. The subject of this piece contacted me after it was posted. Offered to help me write a book.
